Terms of Use

These Terms govern your use of the RoamBebe marketplace, operated by RoamBebe ("RoamBebe", "we"). By using the site you agree to them. Please read them together with our Privacy & Data Protection Notice, Cancellation & Refund Policy and, if you rent out equipment, our Provider Standards.

1. Our role

RoamBebe is an online marketplace that connects customers who wish to rent baby equipment with independent providers. The rental contract is formed directly between the customer and the provider. RoamBebe acts only as an intermediary: it facilitates discovery, booking, messaging and (where enabled) payment, but is not itself the renter or owner of the equipment and is not a party to the rental contract.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract to use RoamBebe. You are responsible for the accuracy of your details and for activity under your account. Guests may book without an account using a verified email link.

3. Bookings

A booking request is an offer to rent for the selected dates. It becomes a confirmed contract when the provider accepts it and any required payment is authorized or captured. Rental periods are counted as set out at checkout; the handover day may be shared between consecutive rentals.

4. Prices, payments and deposits

Prices are shown in the listing currency; any converted figures marked "≈" are indicative only, and you are charged in the listing currency. At launch, bookings are arranged on a cash-on-delivery basis: the customer pays the provider directly at handover and the provider receives the full amount. RoamBebe does not hold or handle these funds. Online card payment may be enabled later.

A provider may require a refundable security deposit and/or sight of an identity document. Any deposit is collected in cash by the provider directly from the customer at handover and returned by the provider when the equipment is returned in the agreed condition. RoamBebe does not hold, escrow or process deposits, and is not responsible for their collection or return.

Provider commission. As a launch promotion, RoamBebe charges providers no commission (0%) on bookings made on or before 30 April 2027. The provider keeps the full rental price. RoamBebe expressly reserves the right to introduce, set and change its commission rates after that date. Any commission then applicable will be communicated to providers in advance and will apply only to bookings made after it takes effect. Continued use of the platform after a commission change constitutes acceptance of it.

5. Contact details and data sharing

A booking requires a working phone number. By booking, you agree that your contact details (name, email and phone) are shared with the provider for that booking, and that the provider may contact you via WhatsApp. See the Privacy & Data Protection Notice for details.

6. Cancellations and refunds

You may cancel free of charge at any time before the provider confirms the booking. Once the provider has confirmed, cancellations and refunds are arranged directly with the provider according to the timing and any policy shown for the booking. As payment and any deposit are handled in cash between customer and provider, refunds are made by the provider. Full details are set out in our Cancellation & Refund Policy.

7. Provider obligations

Providers must only list items they are entitled to rent, describe them accurately, keep availability current, and honour confirmed bookings. Providers are solely responsible for ensuring that equipment is clean, hygienic, safe, in good working order and compliant with all applicable product-safety standards before each handover, and for collecting and returning any cash deposit.

A provider store is made public only after RoamBebe has verified the provider's identity. Every new listing, and every material change to a published listing (such as its title, description, prices, deposit, condition or photos), is reviewed by RoamBebe before it is shown to customers; while a change is under review the listing is withdrawn from public view. RoamBebe may decline, hide or remove listings that do not meet these Terms or the Provider Standards, and will state the reason to the provider.

Although providers keep the full rental price during the commission-free period, listing on RoamBebe is conditional on meeting our Provider Standards (hygiene, safety, accuracy, responsiveness and reliability). Repeated or serious breaches may lead to listings being hidden or the provider account being suspended or removed.

8. Customer obligations

Customers must use equipment responsibly, return it on time and in the condition received (fair wear and tear excepted), and are responsible for loss or damage beyond fair wear and tear.

9. Reviews

After a completed rental, customers may leave a rating and a written review of the provider. Reviews must be truthful, based on your own experience and limited to the rental itself. Reviews are published under your first name. RoamBebe may remove reviews that are abusive, unrelated to the rental, or otherwise in breach of these Terms, and may show the provider's reply next to a review.

10. Prohibited use

You may not use the platform for any unlawful, fraudulent, infringing or abusive purpose, and you may not attempt to circumvent fees, security or payment systems, or to move bookings arranged through RoamBebe off the platform.

11. Liability

Because RoamBebe is only an intermediary and not a party to the rental, it is not liable for the condition, hygiene, safety or availability of any equipment, which is the provider's responsibility. To the fullest extent permitted by law, RoamBebe's liability arising from your use of the marketplace is limited accordingly. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including mandatory Turkish consumer-protection law.

12. Intellectual property

The RoamBebe name, site and content are protected. Content you submit (for example listing photos and reviews) remains yours, but you grant us a licence to display it as needed to operate and promote the marketplace.

13. Changes and termination

We may update these Terms by publishing a new version and revising the date above; the version in force at the time of a booking applies to that booking. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these Terms.

14. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The parties agree that the İstanbul Courts and Enforcement Offices (İstanbul Mahkemeleri ve İcra Daireleri) shall have jurisdiction, without prejudice to any mandatory rights a consumer may have to bring proceedings before the courts or consumer arbitration committees of their place of residence in Türkiye.
